Therese Burazin - Board President
Therese has just stepped down from
Artistic Director for the Milwaukee Youth
Theatre after twenty years. She has
directed and written plays with children
for over 25 years. She also is an instructor
for the Schauer Arts & Activities Center in
Hartford where she  is currently directing
James and the Giant Peach, Jr. Other
directing credits include many comedic
productions for Fond du Lac Community
Theatre, including
Addam's Family the
Musical
last Fall, and directing nine
literature based shows for the Fond du Lac
Area Home School Drama Troupe.


Bob Sagadin - Interim Artistic Director
Bob is past board president and is a
founding member of the Milwaukee Youth
Theatre.  He was the Props Production
Manager for the Racine Symphony
Orchestra from 1979-2015.  He recently
retired as Scenic Designer and Technical
Director from the Performing Arts
Department at the Prairie School in
Racine, Wisconsin  1987-2014.   There he
taught students stagecraft, lighting and
television and film production.


Veronica Zahn  - Managing Director
Veronica is serving in her first year as
Managing Director for MYT.  She worked
with students as stage management
mentor for the three seasons prior to
that.  Veronica has her BA in Theatre Arts
from Bethel College and MFA in Stage
Management from Wayne State
University.  As a recent transplant to
Milwaukee, she has been on the stage
management team for Windfall, Acacia,
UWM Dance, Concordia, First Stage,
Chamber, Renaissance, and Theatre
Gigante.  Prior credits include theatres in
Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan.  She works
in the office at Next Act assisting the
marketing and development directors and
is a member of the Actors Equity
Association union for actors and stage
managers.


Brittany Curran - Educational Outreach
Coordinator / Director
Brittany Curran holds a BFA degree in
Acting and a minor in Creative Writing
from the University of Wisconsin-
Milwaukee, where she now works as a TA
for the University’s Theatre Department.  
She has been working with Milwaukee
Youth Theatre since the summer of 2011,
teaching many classes and workshops and
holds the title of Educational Outreach
Coordinator.  Brittany has directed The
Princess and the Pea, Improv
Extravaganza, Stuart Little, Still Life with
Iris, and Shakespeare's Comedies.  She
also was has Assistant Director for School
House Rock, Jr. with MYT.  Brittany is a
company member with Kohl’s Wild
Theater, a program from the Zoological
Society of Milwaukee in partnership with
Kohl’s Cares, which provides conservation-
themed  theatre performances for children
and families in the Milwaukee area.  
Brittany has been fortunate to work with
several local theatre companies including
Theater RED, Bard and Bourbon, Pink
Banana, Renaissance Theaterworks, The
World’s Stage, Milwaukee Metropolitan
Voices, First Stage, Milwaukee Rep,
Optimist Theatre, and Milwaukee


Greg Davis -Technical Director / Director
Greg has worked backstage or behind the
scenes all over the Milwaukee Area
including: Chamber Theatre, Skylight
Music Theatre, Boulevard Theatre and
First Stage. He has been Tech Supervisor
for MYT for 11 years. Greg's theater work
highlight moments have been working on
Rent, Present Laughter, The Producers,
The Last Five Years, Anything Goes, and
The Mikado. His favorite Milwaukee Youth
Theatre productions have been
Charlotte's
Web
, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown,
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,
and
Number the Stars.


Dan Tellez - Director / Teaching Artist
Dan graduated from the University of
Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Musical
Theater in the Spring of 2016. He has
grown up doing children's theater in his
hometown of Marinette. Dan is an actor
who has performed at the University and
local community theaters. He also dabbles
with technical aspects of theater such as
lighting and scenery painting. Dan has
worked as a free-lance choreographer for
several organizations, choreographing
from musicals to State show choirs. He
directed and choreographed Disney's
The
Little Mermaid Jr.
Fall of 2014. Dan
directed and choreographed
Mr. Popper's
Penguins
, The Little Mermaid Jr., and  
Honk! Jr.


Matt Norby - Prop Master
Matt has a BFA with Stage Management
Emphasis from UW-Whitewater. He
originates from Escanaba, Michigan where
he began working with props in high school
and then did props for a  local community
theatre group once he graduated. Matt
has served as Props Master for Milwaukee
Youth Theatre for two years and worked
with a few local Milwaukee theatres
including Theatre Gigante and Acacia
Theatre Company.


Jaclyn Bjornson - Costume Designer
Jaclyn is current costumer for Milwaukee
Youth Theatre's 2016-2017 Season. Past
designs include
A Midsummer Night's
Dream
and Stuart Little. She also works
for First Stage, as the Head Costume Shop
Manager, and has designed for their Young
Company productions of
Maul of the Dead
and
Our Town.


Carl Swanson - Finance Manager
A Milwaukee writer and editor, Carl first
became involved in Milwaukee Youth
Theatre as a parent volunteer with all
three of his children performing in a
variety of MYT productions over the past
10 years. More recently he stepped into
the role of finance manager, where he
works with our creative team to set show
budgets and make sure resources are
properly allocated.


Judy Swanson -  Administrative Assistant
and Volunteer Coordinator
Judy has been working as the
Administrative Assistant since 2011, with,
her involvement stretching several years
earlier, when her sons participated in
MYT's productions. This participation led
to her volunteering in a variety of ways
and becoming a Board member. Her
administrative duties include
communication with parents, school
groups and the public. Judy
enthusiastically jumps in wherever
needed, frequently lending a hand with
props and costumes. After seeing the
accomplishments her sons have made with
the organization, she remains committed
to Milwaukee Youth Theatre's future.
