Therese Burazin Scholarship

The Therese Burazin Scholarship provides a $1000 tuition assistance scholarship for a graduating senior involved with Milwaukee Youth Theatre in honor of our champion for over 25 years, Therese Burazin.

Empowering the next generation

In 1992 Therese Burazin and a group of like-minded educators and artists were brought together by their desire to provide a place where children of all socioeconomic backgrounds could explore, express and learn through the art of theater. Together they created Milwaukee Youth Theatre. Her love and care for the students and families that she worked with touched countless lives. In the words of one of her past students, “Year after year she showed up for us.” Therese was Executive Director of MYT for over 25 years. This scholarship is provided to honor her legacy and to help sustain her vision for Milwaukee students in the theatre arts.
