Bring the theatre into your classroom

Meeting a need
Time after time we see school budgets for theatre experiences and other arts activities cut down to almost nothing. For at-risk students this is especially damaging, as we know the power of the arts lowers dropout rates and improves academic performance. At Milwaukee Youth Theatre, we believe every child in Milwaukee deserves access to theatre and the benefits it provides. When practicing theatre skills, children learn how to collaborate, communicate and think creatively and critically.
As part of our partnership with educators in the Milwaukee area, MYT is offering FREE theater arts classroom materials on a variety of topics. If you have ideas for topics in areas like history, social studies, science or other modules please email firstname.lastname@example.org. We’d love to help gather materials to meet your needs.
